Review of Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz

Spellbound

The Summary (via goodreads)
What's a girl to do when meeting The One means she's cursed to die a horrible death?

Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Connor, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn to—Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.

But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can't stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma's been having the oddest dreams: visions of herself in past lives—visions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.

The Review

I have three words for this book... O.M.G! This was exactly my type of book. Not an overdose on the romance, my dream guy, and paranormal :D!
Usually I talk about the book first and how much I loved it....but today we are talking about Brendan Salinger. He is my dream guy. (You will learn a lot about me from this portion...tee-hee). He has that dreamy, messy black hair (For me a guy must have nice hair). Then those emerald green eyes (I melt for green eyes). Then he is smart (very important), strong (I need a man who can save me), he is tall (all guys are taller than me, so that works ;]), and built (not the super huge muscles, but that perfect toned built). Physically I just created him, but he is also romantic, well my type of romantic (you know the picnic in the park type, spending lunch together, watching movies, and the cuddling type).  And for those who still need a motive for loving him, well he is completely Bad ass, and rich. Though forget the rich, I really don’t care. I just told you my dream guy, I’m not the type of girl who loves the blond hair and blue eyes ( not saying that isn’t hot) but when a guy like Brendan comes around, I will just melt into nothingness, my legs will become jell-o and I will be just be, well there is no words to describe this feeling.
This book was just so much fun to read. There is like a whole Passion(by Lauren Kate) thing going on, no time travel , but past loves and how the same two people always meet, but some tragedy happens and the girl dies. But the way, the curse and the love is presented is just so magical, and just makes me wish I was Emma.
I also love how it's witches and like spells. It really works, for the book. The connections created are like a web, you sort of can guess what will happen, but i like that for this book. The writing style was very nonchalant, and really conversational. It was a relax type of book, and very first person. Any of the thrid perso nwas being read in a book, so it was like we were reading what Emma was reading. But i have to say my favorite postions of the book, were when Brendan was described ( he is just so sweet) and the last chapter bye far was just to funny.
I am at a loss of words for this book, I loved it that much. I would give this book a 4.5/5 it wasn't perfect, but it was close to for me. It was a fantastci book, and can't wait to read more books by Cara Lynn Shultz! This was an amazing book ( I am really obsessing over this book lol)
