Review of Die for Me by Amy

Die for Me (Revenants, #1)

The Summary (goodreads)

In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.
When Kate Mercier's parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life--and memories--behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate's guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he's a revenant--an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

In this incandescent debut, newcomer Amy Plum has created a powerful paranormal mythology with immortal revenants. The Paris setting comes enchantingly alive as a relentless struggle between good and evil takes place in its streets. Rich with romance, atmosphere, and thrills, Die for Me will leave readers breathlessly awaiting its sequel

Right off the bat i can say one thing......I LOVE THIS BOOK! ok sorry fan girl moment over...for now ;)

Well now i heard lots of rave reviews from all my friends who read this book, and i knew i had to read it. The book club i go to has ARCs and the one where they were giving Die for Me...i was gone :/ so i didn't get a chance to read it to now....anyways back to the book :D

At times like others said it felt like twilight, but i felt it was one step up from twilight...the lead female (Kate) i believed was much more strong willed and smarter. The Story itself was so enticing, once i started i couldn't stop... before i knew it, it was 3 in the morning when i finished.....i loved it so much i read it in one sitting :D

I really didn't expect what was happening in the book, well except that it was a paranormal and that the main guy Vincent*swoon* was soon to be with Kate, but there will be something wrong with the relationship....but either way it worked!

Amy plum has a very smooth writing style which makes you feel present in the book the whole time, you are never deranged from the novel, like some new books now days. I was hooked from the beginning, especially since it took place in Paris <3 i think it was a great setting for the whole novel...

it is hard writing a great review for this book without spoiling it ....ahhhhhh

I can tell you one thing, you will love it guy or girl, because it is so unexpected ! No Vampires, no Angels, no Werewolves...and it is still AMAZING ! This book is one of those, "i know what's going to happen...but wait! what just happened...OMG" type of books, that is the only way i can describe it lol, but yea :D

Now my favorite segment....THE GUYS! there is not one, not , but 3 devastatingly hot guys :D *swoon* !!!!! So there is Vincent ( the main hot, romantic, charming, polite, french, who sends shivers down your back guy....plus he's 19...sorta....and he studies Law ) , then there is Jules ( your, messy hot, curly haired, tall skinny, artist, who is the biggest flirt ;) ) and lastly Ambrose ( your southern, yet has a legit french accent, big, buff, funny kinda guy) and all three are to die for ;) . With their sexy smiles, and graceful movements...ohh how i wish they were real ;)!

This book is already in stores, and i must say everyone you need to read it, at least one...if not more :D I borrowed this copy, but i am buying one this weekend :D so If my words mean anything...go read it ! If i had to rate this book i would give it a 4 or 4.5 out of 5 stars, only because there is always room for improvement !
